Dr. Szeszycki’s life as a dental professional has always revolved around the importance and understanding of good oral health. Her passion for learning has never stopped; she continues to further her education about new technologies and techniques as a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society which provide her access to outstanding continuing education in order to provide the best treatment possible to all her patients. For over 20 years, she has worked at the local level on the Mediation and Peer Review committees for the Chicago Dental Society helping patients and dentists alike resolve their differences. She has also worked at the state level to review those cases that cannot be resolved at the local level. For the last 9 years, she has been working successfully as an Expert Witness in the legal arena for cases involving dental malpractice. She recently took on the role of Director for the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce which allows her to work with the local community. Her work on the different committees, her commitment to ongoing continuing education and her belief that communication between the dentist and the patient is of absolute necessity to a successful dental relationship have all contributed to her current success.
When not practicing as a general dentist or as a dental expert witness, her focus is on family. Her extremely tight knit family, which includes her significant other (Mark), parents, brother and sisters, daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren, all benefit from the love and attention she provides. She has two grown daughters (Samantha and Joanna) and three young grandchildren (Savannah and twins Ashton & Scarlett).
Susan graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. She has over 28 years of managerial experience which allows her to help all her patients achieve their dental goals. She is fully knowledgeable in all aspects of dental insurance, and if not, will work to answer all questions so that an informed decision can be made. For those without insurance, she will help ensure that the right decision is made for you, the patient. Susan prides herself in being friendly, open and willing to take the time to ensure that every patient’s appointment is a rewarding one. She presently lives in Bartlett with her husband, Joe. They have 4 children between them. Her passion in life is spending time with family, vacationing with her husband, her weekly movie dates with her parents and anything that makes her laugh. The big news in her life is the addition of her grandson in March 2016. What a game changer that has been – the joy such a small person brings!
Cindy is a graduate of Marquette University and has almost 40 years of Dental Hygiene experience. She has an obvious love of her profession in that she works hard to develop relationships with her patients to help them achieve and maintain personal dental health, especially for the aging patient. She is energetic and fun loving with a compassionate and positive attitude to provide the best care possible while maintaining comfort during the appointment. She loves to learn and has recently been web researching multiple topics to keep current with the many changes in products and philosophies associated with her profession. After living and raising her family in Wheaton for 28 years, she has recently downsized to a townhouse in Winfield and is very proud to be a “Gammie” of three boys with a little girl on the way. Her other out of office hobbies include photography, which you will see on display in her room, as well as being an avid golfer and a great cook.
Kim is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and has over 35 years of Dental Hygiene experience. She LOVES what she does and it is reflected in the care she gives to her patients. She has lived in Bloomingdale for 24 years and has been married for 35 years. She has 2 grown daughters and 2 adorable fun loving grandsons with one on the way. Animals are very important to her, so much so that she has worked in a veterinary animal hospital cleaning dogs’ teeth. She enjoys working on fundraisers and creating baskets for the DuPage County 4-H Club. She likes to be outdoors and loves to garden and can what she grows.
Katie is the newest addition to Park Blvd Dentistry! She is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where she majored in Speech and Health Communication. When Katie is not in the office she is home with her two children (Luke & Elizabeth) who keep her very busy with their many activities!! She also enjoys reading in her spare time; historical fiction and nutrition are a few of her favorite topics. Reading is such a passion for Katie that she volunteers her time at her son’s school to help with its reading fluency program. In addition to reading, Katie also enjoys spending time outdoors running, bikes, or hiking…breathing the fresh air renews her spirit!! She is so very excited to join this amazing dental team!!
Ken is a graduate of DePaul University. After 2 years in the US Army, he was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company, working in many engineering and financial divisions of the company until 1984 when he moved to Ameritech where he helped manage the retiree pension fund until his retirement at the end of 1990. Soon after this he was retained as Dr. Szeszycki’s bookkeeper. Ken and his wife, Vera, have 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in March 2015. Ken recently celebrated his 86th birthday and, among many things, enjoys genealogical research. He has proven Vera’s maternal ancestry to immigrant Louis DuBois (1626-1696) who settled in New York in 1660. Louis’ great-grandson, Jacob Van Meter Sr. served in the Revolutionary War. Another of Vera’s ancestors was Dr. John Briscoe (a1590-a1660) a “gentleman investor” who joined Cecil Calvert, Baron of Baltimore, in 1632 to settle the Province of Maryland under charter from Charles I of England.
