The intraoral camera allows our patients to view what Dr. Szeszycki and her staff see during examinations.  This tiny camera fits into the patient’s mouth and takes digital photographs of the teeth and gums.  Being able to instantaneously view these images on a large format display helps explain dental problems, such as decay and gum disease, so that our patients can make informed decisions about their dental care.

X-rays are an extremely important diagnostic tool because they show a true picture of your dental health, alerting us to any hidden problems that cannot be seen with the naked eye. At Park Blvd Dentistry, we take digital x-rays which produce 90 percent less radiation than traditional x-rays. The system produces a high-quality digital image which is immediately transferred to a computer screen, so there is virtually no wait to see the results. In addition, digital x-rays can be stored in our computer system and can be transferred to specialists quickly and easily if needed.

To help our patients see what we see, we may also take digital photographs during examinations.  Digital photographs give you the best understanding what is happening in your mouth, allowing you to be able to make the best decisions concerning your dental health.  Additionally, they are processed with your insurance claim to ensure better dental benefits and can provide details to the dental laboratory for the creation of restorations.

At Park Blvd Dentistry, we use electronic dental records to record our patient information.  So what that means is that any/all of the information that we used to create a paper chart is now processed in a digital format and stored as an electronic record.  This detail includes charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, medical histories, lab slips, lab results, photos, x-rays, models, etc. which facilitates our strict adherance to HIPAA compliance requirements.

To help us see the small details, we utilize dental magnification loupes during procedures and examinations.  Not only do they help us diagnose potential problems before they are noticeable to the naked eye, they also help us perform procedures and treatments with extreme precision.
